THE KICKSTARTER IS LIVE!
I’ve just launched my folklore vampires artbook kickstarter project! There are special deals for being early backers, and just spreading the word should give you the warm satisfaction of working towards a world where the bloodthirsty undead aren’t sex symbols. You can check it out here:
Okay, motion comics are officially cool now.
Gorgeous Universal Monsters poster art from Mondo.
These are amazing
I want to wallpaper the house with these.
As mentioned yesterday, an explanation of the images posted then-the vampire at the window and sketch card are related in that both are part of my crowdfunding campaign for my upcoming book project, Blood Is Thicker Than Glitter!
The book is an answer to a trend in vampire cultures that I feel needs to be addressed-namely, they’re not scary or fun anymore. They’re romantic and tortured and more humane than most humans.
They sparkle, for gods’ sakes…
Well, I felt it was time for people to have a resource of some of the information I’ve spent most of my life looking into, folklore vampires. It’s my hope that my little book will entertain and inform about the weird and interesting legends about one of my favorite monsters. And more importantly, promote the idea that they’re monsters.
I’ve set up a Facebook page, and you can preview the campaign at Prefundia too. Take a look, and if you’re interested, sign up to be emailed when the Kickstarter campaign starts. If you have questions or suggestions on what would make the campaign better, or something you think would be cool in a book of “real world” monstrous vampires, leave a comment on the Prefundia page and let me know. This book is for everybody, and I want to make it the best I can.
Thanks for reading, and pass this on if you can!
